Visiting Day Visiting day is when parents are invited to observe the classes. This day occurs with each quarter of dance. Visiting day allows the children to demonstrate what they are learning in class and gives them self confidence while the parents observe the progress of their child. Family and friends are also welcomed!!!
Creative Dances & Recognition Awards Students are encouraged to choreograph and perform their own dances and chose their accompanying music. This is a voluntary experience for the children, but can be quite empowering. Also, everyone gets their turn being “Dancer of the Week”. This makes everyone feel special. At the end of the dance year awards and certificates are given to each student for their participation and hard work. Outstanding!!!
Annual Dance Party Each year all of our classes participate in our annual dance party. We celebrate one week of classes to teach the newest and most popular fun dances that are performed at Weddings, Parties, and other prestigious social functions. Some of the dances include the Funky Hokey Pokey, the Electric and Cha Cha Slide, The Macarena, Cupid Shuffle etc. Proper etiquette is taught as if you were attending the Presidential Ball, or meeting the Queen. Everyone may wear a dance costume or party dress and you may bring a friend to celebrate with you!
Recital/Costumes An annual Recital is given in June for all students. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. The recital gives the student an opportunity to demonstrate the technique they have learned as well as the thrill of performing on the BIG STAGE!!! Dress rehearsal is mandatory. Each child is measured for a costume which is ordered for you. It’s a spectacular show filled with super performers!!!
